Diarrhea has become an epidemic in Nepal. Many parts of the country has been suffering from this disease from the very beginning. Last year, Jhajharkot was effected while this year Nepalgunj and Dang are the victims. The number of death and patients are increasing day by day. It has been more than three weeks but the number of victims are increasing rather than decreasing. Even Butwal has been affected.
In the time when people are dying of fatal and dangerous diseases, in Nepalese are dying of minor diseases like diarrhea and cholera. The lack of doctors and health workers in these remote places is one of the reason for increase in the disease. Lack of proper medication results such diseases which in turns becomes epidemic.
It is very important to insure and increase the health status of the people. They could contribute to nation if they are healthy and well. So for the development of the country, its important to develop the health status of the citizens.

Delayed!!
The election of Prime Minister has been delayed yet again. Its the third time that the election has been delayed. Dont know whats going on in this country. Why cant those people in power chose even a Prime Minister? Can't they ever agree in a single thing, even if its for the country's good?? If they can't do that, they have no right to be in that position. All of them should retire and stay home watching the news instead.

Football Mania
This month, football is in the air. Everyone, everywhere is talking about football. Be it Portugal's victory over North Korea with 7 -0, or Argentina's undefeated win in the first round, football is all that everyone is talking about. It's a great way of distraction from the boring daily routine.
It has, however, disturbed people as well. Watching football has became an obsession for many. People stay whole night to watch the game, even at the midnight. The World cup fever could be found everywhere, especially on facebook. Many users have changed their profile pictures relating it to world cup. It's good thing to support others but this, too, creates a conflict. A conflict between the supporters of two nations that are playing, not a major but still one.
Let's just wish someday our country, Nepal, will also reach in World cup and we could be able to support our own country rather than others.

Time Up!!
The time for drafting the new Constitution is ending in two days and now the hope for new Constitution, too, is coming to an end. With the arrival of Jestha 14, the wait ends. But it could be added for a year or half, again. Though the given time for the work is coming to and end, the work is still not completed. Time had been added twice and they are asking for the third time. What the hell are they doing? Arent they serious about the outcome of this carelessness? What's going to happen after 14th ? All we can do is just wait and watch!!

Maldives cabinet makes a splash
Maldives, OCT. 17 , 2009
The government of the Maldives has held a cabinet meeting underwater to highlight the threat of global warming to the low-lying Indian Ocean nation.
President Mohamed Nasheed and his cabinet signed a document calling for global cuts in carbon emissions. Ministers spent half an hour on the sea bed, communicating with white boards and hand signals where the president said the UN climate change conference in Copenhagen this December cannot be allowed to fail.
At a later press conference while still in the water, President Nasheed was asked what would happen if the summit fails. "We are going to die," he replied. “ If the Maldives cannot be saved today we do not feel that there is much of a chance for the rest of the world ” he added.
The Maldives stand an average of 2.1 metres (7ft) above sea level, and the government says they face being wiped out if oceans rise. "We're now actually trying to send our message, let the world know what is happening, and what will happen to the Maldives if climate change is not checked," President Nasheed said. "If the Maldives cannot be saved today we do not feel that there is much of a chance for the rest of the world," he further added.
Three of the 14 cabinet ministers missed the underwater meeting, about 20 minutes by boat from the capital, Male, because two were not given medical permission and another was abroad, officials said.
While underwater, they signed a document ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in December, calling on all nations to cut their carbon emissions. World leaders at the summit aim to create a new agreement to replace the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, which expires in 2012.

Power of the People!!
The Maoist have to call off the Banda because of the pressure they had to face by the Nepali Janatas. That's the power of the people. We, The People, do not want banda and hadtal but peace and prosperity in the country. We could make everything possible, if we are together.
The Peace Rally on May 7 proved it. Just a day after the rally, Maoists withdrew their Banda. It wasn't just because they thought the people would have to suffer but it was the pressure they put on the Maoists. It was because they thought they would lose their respect and position. That's the power of the people, "we can make and break the government."
