Once again, there is a strike nationwide, for unlimited period. Maoists have warned to go on strike and may be start the new Jana Andolan. The history would be repeating itself. It would not only disturb the peace process but also result in loss of many lives and property.Their threats are creating terror in the citizens. It not only hampers their professional life but also personal.
The most harmed victim of this stike would be the students awaiting their Board exams for grade 12/11. If the exams are posponed then it will affect the new sessions. The results will be late and the students who would be trying for abroad studies will be late for their classes. It totally disturbs the educational system even in the country itself. This is entirely unfare to the students.
Why can't these people be calm and come together to develop the nation and keep aside their selfishness? Why can't they think about the progress of the country and the people and not the power that the Chair for Head of the Nation carries?

Celebrating Load Shedding!!
Few weeks back the world celebrated Eath Hour. It was, I think to raise awareness on increasing energy crisis. The entire world had power cut for a whole hour, we weren't any exception.
Infact, we Nepalese do it everyday. Not just for an hour but for whole 12 hour everyday. Just imagine how much energy do we save. If Earth Hour was marked with everyone's wish, we face power outage out of helplessness. It was during SLC exams that we got to see bulbs glowing but now its all the same dark everywhere. Inverters, emergency lights, candles are not as satisfying as the real electric bulbs. We can't do our work because most of the time we need electricity for it.
Our leaders should be awarded for saving so much energy, a newspaper had satire published regarding this and I totally agree with it. Hats off to our leaders.
We have a reason to celebrate so lets celebrate. New Year is coming so lets get prepared to celebrate it with candle lit dinner with our family. Lets enjoy the quality time with our family and celebrate load shedding.

Garbage Tale
Everywhere I go, nowadays, I see heaps of garbage on the way. The Municipality and the people of landfill site are again having disagreement over something. It always happens. They disagree over something and we have to suffer. The air, land, water, everything is polluted by the garbage thrown in improper way.
I wonder why people don't understand that it is effecting us, them. Why to throw garbage on the way and pollute already endangered environment? Why don't they understand that they are harming themselves. The smell from the waste products pollutes the air we breathe, it makes us hard to walk that way. Even the holy river is in its worst condition.
People who have space and time can use the degradable waste for making compost manure. I think everyone should stop throwing waste products in places other than dustbins. I saw there was two dusbins side by side in Patan Durbar Square, one for degradable waste and another for non-degradable, but people did not care about it and threw the waste wherever they liked. I wonder why they don't do their duty and don't utilise the facility they get and keep complaining about the management?
As far as I am concerned, I opine that people should do their duty properly and help to keep the city and environment clean.
