The Maoist have to call off the Banda because of the pressure they had to face by the Nepali Janatas. That's the power of the people. We, The People, do not want banda and hadtal but peace and prosperity in the country. We could make everything possible, if we are together.
The Peace Rally on May 7 proved it. Just a day after the rally, Maoists withdrew their Banda. It wasn't just because they thought the people would have to suffer but it was the pressure they put on the Maoists. It was because they thought they would lose their respect and position. That's the power of the people, "we can make and break the government."
